Bomb Blast: Tears and fears

What is striking in the recent bomb blast in national capital is people’s growing disbelief in government, authorities and agencies. They are now aware of the fact that blaming to each other's repeated failures are just the routine work and on the other hand agencies believe that after some days of excessive media criticism people will stop thinking about the incident and hence nobody will take note of it. Public are also in view that opposition parties will take this bomb blast as an opportunity to make some statements without taking any concrete step towards bashing government for its inefficiency to tackle such terror attacks in the future. And government as usual tries to defend her position by saying they had the information and already passed it to the state agencies to take further action. A classic example of passing the buck.
Being a media professional I come across a lot of people daily from different walks of life and believe me they all are in view that government does little to check these kinds of activities. They question perhaps, India
is the only country in the world where terrorists have the opportunity to test their deadly act four months in advance. They actually practice it and intelligence agencies have hardly any clues about it. This is in fact, very absurd. People die and nobody gives a damn.
Why we don’t have a strong anti terror policy? Why we are not tough enough to deal strongly in these extraordinary situations of life and death? Why we still are not strong to give a clear and firm signal to our neighbours that terror activities against India won’t be tolerated at any cost? There are many questions on people’s mind and fewer answers. If USA can fight terror strongly after 9/11 then why can’t us? People are emotional. They don’t understand policies, compulsions and diplomatic nuances. But they understand one thing it is their sons, daughters, relatives who only die in attacks and it is only they who always suffers.

    Is baar nahin
Is baar jab woh choti si bachchi mere paas apni kharonch le kar aayegi
Main usey phoo phoo kar nahin behlaoonga
    Panapney doonga uski tees ko
    Is baar nahin

Dard ko risney doonga, utarney doonga andar gehrey
    Is baar nahin

Is baar main na marham lagaoonga
Na hi uthaoonga rui ke phahey
Aur na hi kahoonga ki tum aankein band karlo, gardan udhar kar lo main dawa lagata hoon
Dekhney doonga sabko hum sabko khuley nangey ghaav
    Is baar nahin

    Nahin daudoonga uljhee door lapetney
Uljhaney doonga jab tak ulajh sake
    Is baar nahin

Is baar karm ka hawala de kar nahin uthaoonga auzaar
Nahin karoonga phir se ek nayee shuruaat
Nahin banoonga misaal ek karmyogi ki
Nahin aaney doonga zindagi ko aasani se patri par
Utarney doonga usey keechad main, tedhey medhey raston pe
Nahin sookhney doonga deewaron par laga khoon
Halka nahin padney doonga uska rang
Is baar nahin banney doonga usey itna laachaar
Ki paan ki peek aur khoon ka fark hi khatm ho jaye
    Is baar nahin

Is baar ghawon ko dekhna hai
    Gaur se
    Thoda lambe wakt tak
    Kuch faisley
    Aur uskey baad hausley
Kahin toh shuruat karni hi hogi
Is baar yahi tay kiya hai

  2. I think we have reached a point where nothing seems real; it feels as if we are living in an illusionary India and assume that nothing would bother us. The terror attacks are also viewed similarly. It seems that they affect only those who are really affected by the blast. For rest, it hardly makes a difference. For example, we don’t know anything about the investigation into the recent Mumbai blasts. We are not even bothered. The same will happen to the Delhi blast.

  3. Well written Rajnish... I share your agony and anger and am sure many more will have the same sentiments. It matters to us b'coz we are one of them... common man... These blasts can happen anywhere, anytime really... and it is we who are present anywhere, everywher, anytime of the day...

I doubt if it really matters to the govt. Its just a formality for them - going to the site, delivering speeches, compensating with money (which people rarely get), etc...

India has had a history of being ruled by various foreign rulers... And i think it has got a lot to do with our mindset... we let things happen and time take its course... thats why we forgive and forget everything... The only policy that our politicians follow honestly is of 'Forgive & Forget'... thats why they forgive the traitors & terrorists and forget their own misdeeds... Thats why they live happily and Kasab & Afzal guru enjoy biryani...

We are living in constant fear in our own country... ruled by corrupt leaders... complaints falling on deaf ears, etc, etc...

I think it will take the entire nation to go Anna Hazare way... for the govt.to realize the seriousness of the situation... They are answerable to us, we should question them...

  4. This is a country of corrupt politicians, corrupt bureaucrats, corrupt people who whenever get chance never miss the opportunity to make some unlawful gains. Hence, the Anna Episode and the Team Anna with genuine support of the masses can change things in national interest. It's high time we realise that the nation come first.

  5. India has always presented an image of SOFT STATE for itself. After 9/11 USA went after Taliban and Alkayada. And today Bin Laden is no more. But Indian politicians are demanding pardon for those who are responsible for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. I have cited these two examples just to highlight the contrast in the approaches of Us and India towards those who attack them.
