The game you love most, the game you watch most, the game you live most is bound to let you down most, at times. I would like to call ongoing India Australia Cricket test series a big let down for those Indian fans who love this game more than any game in the country. It is like a religion. But our cricketers are losing every prestigious game one by one. All big faces like Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, V V S Laxman, Virendra Sehwag failed or should I call it shattered against Australian bowling and batting line up like a playing card. It is a high time to raise a valid question for the betterment of Cricket. Should old players like Sachin Tendulkar , Rahul Dravid and V V S Laxman declare voluntary retirement and hence pave the way for the budding young talents. Second question: should we also go for separate captaincy for test and one day format as the each format demands different type of preparation and mindset to play.

Let’s start with the good news. Now government has notified that excellence in any field of human endeavour could be awarded for prestigious Bharat Ratna Award. Earlier only persons excelling in the fields of literature, arts, public services & science were only eligible for this award. There were a huge demand from the sports fraternity to include sportspersons for the award and the demand was reasonable too. Any person who is selflessly serving the country in his or her respective fields is very much eligible. So why this limitation of only considering four fields for the awards? It is indeed big news. We have seen many personalities doing extraordinary work in their respective fields but they did not belong to those four categories. Cricket lovers have also demanded Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar. I am not against of it. But my objection is why not go ahead with greatest Hockey player Major Dhyan Chand instead of Sachin in sports. Nobody questions the eligibility of m...

Once upon a time a king was ruling more than 10 countries. He fought fiercely, shattered every attack like a sand castle and emerged victorious. He considered greatest and his enemies shivered facing him. Greatest of greatest enemies showed respect of his master craftsmanship. Bards sang many songs in his praise and made him 'God of Cricket'.  He is a legend now… He is master blaster of Cricket. Sachin Tendulkar, scored many centuries and runs any cricketer ever scored. But he is aging now. His fierce battles injured and forced him to develop a new game strategy against enemies. But his new plans are failing; He is losing one game after another moreover, he is losing himself. Even his small enemies are confident fighting and defeating him as he has become vulnerable. He is no longer a backbone of his beloved army.  Is Tendulkar now fighting his last battle? He wants to score his 100th century since so many months but each time he crumbles. His bards are stil...
